The collection of this data is of a purely practical nature and only takes place within the framework of the requirements customary in the industry. Without this data collection, it is not possible to contact us or to book accommodation.

Will your data be passed on to third parties?

The most important thing first: In principle, we never pass on personal data from you to third parties, except to the extent necessary for the technical operation of this website or for answering your enquiry or making your booking. You, therefore, do not need to be concerned that we will pass on your data to third parties for marketing reasons. Any data transfer will only take place with the intention of fulfilling your request. 

If you use our contact form, you are using a function on our website. Our website has been created using a modular system from Ltd. Ltd offers the option to include a contact form on the website as part of the modular system, whereby the data, already mentioned above, is collected. The same applies to subscribing to our newsletter. For the administration of our bookings, we use the software Beds24 from MPK Systems Ltd. Your bookings, via our website, are also processed via the servers of MPK Systems Ltd. Beds24 is a cloud-based property management system with an integrated online booking system and channel manager that uses secure SSL technology. It is certified by all relevant booking portals worldwide and is used by customers in over 90 countries on all continents. MPK Systems Ltd is a well known company whose applications comply with all South African and European data protection regulations and meet the highest security standards for the protection of your data. Once a booking has been confirmed, we will share your details with Nox Rentals, the Cape Town-based agency we work with. The agency, one of the leading agencies in Cape Town, is obliged to store and use your data only in so far as this is necessary for the organisation of your stay. Who has access to your data with us? Who is the data protection officer?

We attach great importance to the protection of your data. In accordance with South African and European data protection laws, we take appropriate measures to ensure the protection of your personal data against misuse and unauthorised access. This means that only partners who need personal data to perform their duties will have access to it. The owner of the accommodation is the data protection officer.  

We would like to point out that in certain cases, e.g. when communicating by e-mail, data transmission on the Internet can have general security gaps for which we are not responsible. However, for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as your enquiries, we generally use SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

How long is data stored?

We will retain your personal information for only as long as we deem necessary to ensure that you are able to use our services and we can provide our services to you, to comply with applicable law, to resolve disputes, or for other purposes deemed necessary to conduct our business, including the detection and prevention of fraud or other illegal activity. All personal information that we hold is covered by this Privacy Policy. How can you control what information we have on you?

So that you can check what personal data we have stored on you, you can ask us, at any time, to provide you with a free copy of this information. Your right to deletion of data!

Notes on the use of social media:

Social media plug-ins are integrated on our website, for example from Facebook or Instagram. If you click on a button (such as the Facebook button), certain information may be shared with that social media provider. All social media companies integrated on our website are subject to the South African and European data protection guidelines. However, we would like to point out that we do not have any concrete knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by the social media companies.
