Air conditioning

The penthouses have air conditioning in all living rooms and bedrooms (except the third bedroom in the Skydeck Penthouse).

Arrival & check-in
​A representative from our agency will meet you at the apartment block. Please advise them of your precise arrival details before leaving home. Contact details will be provided in ample time prior to your departure. Check-in is from 14:00 onwards.

Barbecue
​
Each penthouse has a gas barbecue for outdoor use. Both buildings also have a communal barbecue area. Use of these is subject to the buildings' house rules.

Bed linen & towels
​
Beds are made up with fresh linen and clean towels are provided in the bathroom and for the pool.
Cancellation
​
8 weeks or more before the arrival date, a booking can be cancelled with no penalty. Between 4 and 8 weeks before the arrival date, 50% of the rental fee is payable on cancellation. If the booking is cancelled 4 weeks or less before arrival, the full rental fee is due.
​
Charges
​
No hidden additional charges: Some holiday accommodation providers entice people with extremely low prices, but then add extra charges for towels, bed linen etc. With us, you know that the accommodation price shown already includes all essential services and amenities. All rates include daily cleaning (except Sundays and public holidays), cleaning on departure, Internet (WLAN), bed linen, towels, electricity, water, heating, air conditioning, and parking.

Check-out
​
Guests are required to check out by 10:00 on the day of departure.

Cleaning of penthouses (housekeeping)
​
The penthouses are cleaned every day except Sundays and public holidays. Bed linen and towels are changed regularly. This depends on the length of stay.

Cot & high chair
​
A cot and high chair can be provided, on request, subject to availability.

End-of-stay cleaning
​
The penthouse will be cleaned at the end of the stay. The cost of this is included in the accommodation price.
​
Extra beds
​
Each penthouse can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. Additional beds cannot be provided.​
Heating
​
The air conditioning units of the penthouses can be used for heating in winter.
​
​Internet (WLAN)
​
Both penthouses have high-speed Internet (WLAN). Its use is included in the cost of the accommodation.
​
Laundry
​
The Panoramic Penthouse has a washer-dryer and the Skydeck Penthouse has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The use of these is free of charge.
Minimum length of stay
​
The minimum stay is usually 3 nights. You may arrive and depart on any day of the week.

Parking
​
Both penthouses have reserved, secure parking in private underground garages with direct access to lifts.
​
Payment
​
At the time of booking, 25% of the rental amount must be paid by bank transfer. The balance of the rental must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.​

Pets
​
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. This will be checked on arrival.
​
Pool
​
The penthouses' plunge pools can be used all year round although they are not heated. Pool towels are provided. The use of the communal pools is subject to the buildings' house rules.

Power outage (load-shedding)
​
South Africa experiences regular power outages (known locally as load-shedding). Each penthouse is equipped with an inverter. When the electricity goes off, the inverter kicks in and powers the lights in the apartment, the internet and some appliances. However, areas outside of the apartment such as the lifts might not be functional during load-shedding.
​
Security
​
Access to both apartment buildings is controlled by a 24-hour on-site security service located in the foyer. Each block is also protected by full perimeter electric fencing and video surveillance monitoring. Sea Point is generally considered a safe neighbourhood by Cape Town standards.
​
Smoking
​
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the penthouses or outside on the terraces or balconies. Any violation of this rule will incur a fine of € 250.
​
Travel insurance
​
To ensure that you are covered for any financial losses incurred in the event of cancellation, for example, due to illness, accident or unemployment, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
